Compare three XLPE/PVC power cable options for 0.6/1 kV distribution: copper YJV, aluminium YJLV and copper YJV22 with steel tape armour. Start with conductor material and mechanical protection, then specify core count, cross-section and installation conditions. The order specification confirms the selected supply configuration.

| YJLV | Aluminium conductor / XLPE insulation / PVC sheath; requires its own resistance, weight and termination specification. |
| YJV22 | Copper conductor / XLPE / filling and bedding / steel tape armour / PVC sheath. |
| Documented voltage group | 0.6/1 kV. Medium-voltage enquiries require a separate technical specification. |
| Documented configurations | YJV/YJLV tables include 1–5 cores and specific 3+1, 3+2 and 4+1 combinations. One YJV22 example is 3×120+1×70 mm²; a size range does not imply every core combination. |
| YJV/YJLV reference standards | The reviewed low-voltage sheet cites GB/T 12706.1-2020 and IEC 60502-1:2004. Confirm the applicable edition for the order. |
The main difference is conductor material: YJV uses copper and YJLV uses aluminium. Both have XLPE/PVC construction in this group, but their resistance, weight and termination requirements differ. State the conductor material explicitly in the purchase specification.
YJV22 adds steel tape armour for routes requiring mechanical protection. The reviewed document describes tunnel, trench and direct-burial use, while excluding high pulling loads. Check the actual installation conditions before selecting an armoured configuration.
No. Medium-voltage insulation, screening and test data require a separate review. Include rated voltage U₀/U, core count and cross-section in the enquiry; the low-voltage construction shown here does not describe the full range up to 35 kV.
